Roy Music is an independent Label created in January 2005 by Rodolphe Dardalhon, Olivier Chini and Yvan Taïeb. Roy Music focuses his activities on producing, publishing, renting rehearsal studios (20 studios in Pantin) and booking (We Are The Lions parties).
Specialized in artist's development with 15 artists produced in 7 years, musical's eclecticism is the keystone of the label : « We sign what we like, without any editorial line. Why should we skip a personal favorite ? ». Step by step, Roy Music follows the artist, from the artistic part to the media coverage until his first album release. The label is particularly active on the web and remains at the cutting edge of information technologies as much with viral videoclips and the label's implication on crowd funding websites and new communication roads.
The meeting between Rodolphe and Yvan goes back to 2003. Rodolphe Dardalhon (R from Roy) is at the time Jerôme Attal's manager and Yvan (Y from roY), promoter at the House of Live, Hushpuppies and Mademoiselle K's manager. In between, Olivier Chini (O from rOy), producer at Teleparis wants to get involve in music. He meets Rodolphe in 2004 and Roy Music was born one month later with Jérôme Attal's album « Comme elle se donne » as a first production.
Roy Music is distributed by Universal Music in France.
In January 2013, Roy will celebrate his eighth years, 300.000 albums sold with more than 18 artists produced.
Roy Music's first aim is to allow artists to create the album they really want. The society likes to be the producer which is a kind of guarantee for the artist to keep control on the artistic direction of his project and in the same time, it's an assurance on the commercial development, on an independent way (Jil Is Lucky, Oldelaf, Make The Girl Dance, ) or with licensing projects with majors (Mademoiselle K and Jean Racine with Delabel / EMI, Néry with Odéon / EMI or Hangar with Polydor / Universal). By taking a talent discoverer's position, Roy Music works on the artist's development as much on the sound and on the image.
