menu music

Menu music is the breakbeat label founded by Jay Cunning and Atomic Hooligan, with one philosophy - to rock the party. The label was originally formed in 1999, however has only started releasing tunes in 2004 due to the very strict A&R process - ensuring that only the best of the party rockers go through.

Jay Cunning's been in the mix since day one. He caught the bug young and started spinning tunes back in '89 in the halcyon days of Acid House. In 2004 has started off full steam ahead with Jay joining forces with Atomic Hooligan to form 'Menu Music', a concept that focus's on throwing up big parties with big party tunes.

As a label, 'Menu' focuses on the making breakbeat party tunes - an unashamed move to get the girls shaking their thang on the dance floor, the showpiece of 'Menu' is a '7 Decks and FX' show with live beatbox MC's Xander which see's them regularly at St Petersburg's Tunnel Club, the annual TM Base festival in Romania and festivals and clubs all over the World.

The label's first release was Finland's Rico Tubbs, otherwise known as Infekto, with the funkadelic flavours of Flashlighter with Brazilian/Latin vibes taking control on the flipside, Brazilia. More releases are to follow from new signings and new breakbeat talent such as JCat, Jay Stewart, Majool and of course output from label head honcho's themselves Jay Cunning and Atomic Hooligan.
