International Deejay Gigolos is a German electronic music record label run by DJ Hell (Helmut Geier). Started 1996 in Munich as an affiliate of Disko B, Gigolo quickly established itself as an independent label specialized in electro, house and techno with 80's synth-pop, new wave and disco influences. After many years in Munich Gigolo moved to Berlin in 2000. When Hell launched his International Deejay Gigolos Empire in 1996, his rebellious creative streak gave the label a punk DIY aesthetic. An open-ended techno imprint with a natural pop sensibility, Gigolo immediately stood out and attracted like-minded artists such as Bryan Ferry, Fischerspooner, Vitalic, Grace Jones, the Pet Shop Boys, Jeff Mills and Dopplereffekt. Today, Gigolo in Berlin is to Hell what the Factory in New York was to Warhol.

Until 2001 a medium close-up line art illustration of Arnold Schwarzenegger posing at a bodybuilding event was used as label logo without proper permission. Later releases come with modified logos featuring line art illustrations of Sid Vicious' head. From 2003 Amanda Lepore posing like Arnold represented the label logo. Since end of 2006 a variation of Vivienne Westwood's Cowboys T-shirt motif serves as label logo.

Gigolo's most successful release came in 2001, with Vitalic's Poney EP (which included techno favourite "La Rock 01" on the B-side). This EP was remastered and re-issued in 2006. The label also releases showcase compilations, sometimes called "We Are Gigolo", of which there are now twelve volumes.

To celebrate the 100th release on International Deejay Gigolo Records, catalog# GIGOLO 100 was released as ladies underwear made by Agent Provocateur (limited to 500 pieces). The 200th release on Gigolo is a folding rule, limited to 300 pieces (some were available at the Gigolo Party during the Popkomm 2006).

Now based in Berlin and Germany's most successful electronic music record label. Gigolo has released records by Jeff Mills, Tiga, Vitalic, Fischerspooner, Miss Kittin & the Hacker, Dave Clarke, DJ Hell, Dopplereffekt, Boys Noize, Anthony Rother, Justice, Christian Prommer, Hard Ton, Douglas Greed, Skwerl, Tiefschwarz, Oliver Huntemann, Hrdvsion, David Carretta, Terrence Fixmer, Peter Kruder, Japanese Telecom and Princess Superstar.
