Rio Padice
Grooveapocalypse
metroline limited
description
Chi-town’s in the house as Rio Padice returns with some vintage grooves for Metroline. The artist behind some of Metroline Limited finest releases to date (such as Road To Albuquerque and the two Twin Peaks EP’s) is back with a stunning four tracker of quality house music. Grooveapocalypse is a relentless Chicago builder with dominant hard-hitting hats, and nice filter work. Paypo cuts deeper, oozing with rich bass tones – a no-frills bouncing French Touch floorfiller. Locus! Circus! (big in Ibiza anyone?) ramps up the retro factor. Its playful sound effects and rolling percussion brings a much-needed touch of classic Dan Hartman to the modern dancefloor. Moonbass is another deep cut. The tight Larry Heard bassline and bouncing kick is overlayed with airy, sweeping synths that are kept in check by sharp hats and nice round claps. Another strong release from Rio Padice, and another in what is turning out to be a great run of releases for Metroline Limited. Tracklist: A1. Grooveapocalypse A2. Paypo B1. Locus! Circus! B2.
