Paco Osuna alias Francisco Osuna was born in Barcelona. He started dj'ing in 1994 in Valencia and became one of the best dj's of Spain. He's the resident dj of the well-known Amnesia club in Ibiza.
Paco Osuna became interested in music at the age of 14, and in 1994, aged 20, he was able to realise his dream of making his passion, his profession. In 2006 he strengthened his artistic vision, by creating the label Mindshake, quickly achieving success in attracting international attention. Artists such as Skoozbot, Ambivalent, Paul Ritch, Matteo Spedicatti and Andrea Ferlín have had releases on Mindshake.
In 2006 Paco had the idea of creating his own conceptual club in Barcelona, and so Club4 was born, a space which, from its very beginnings has stood out as an original site in the esteemed Barcelona scene, fast becoming the place to be for variety and exposure to the latest musical offerings. Artists such as 2000 and One, Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Christian Smith, Dubfire, Josh Wink, Marco Carola, Matthew Dear, Michel De Hey and Richie Hawtin have appeared on the club’s posters, allowing the Club4 to achieve a national and international reputation.
Paco combines dark and durable, intelligence and power, machinery and sophistication: a profound conscience of all things music. For Paco, it doesn’t matter where he’s playing as each set is important and definitive. He likes to be one step ahead of the pack, and that gives him a special identity in everything he produces, or mixes. It’s no mean feat that, at ENTER, he is the artist who has most presence, after Richie Hawtin himself.
Over the years Paco Osuna has achieved a great deal, which is reflected in his popularity as an artist and producer. In a continual evolution of his sound, he has managed to coat the purest minimalist sounds, combining them with his most characteristic fibers; depth, darkness and intelligence. Through his passion and intensity, Paco has made people in the scene take note of his creativity and innovation, always telling a story and establishing a connection with those who hear him play.
Throughout his career he has shown himself to be, without a shadow of a doubt, our prime international ambassador. Over the last few years he has been awarded several of the most important prizes going in our country: ‘Best Artist’ and ‘Best Techno DJ’ (Vicious Awards, 2011); ‘Best Artist’, ‘Best Producer’ and ‘Best Remix’: ‘Plastikman- Ethnik’ (DJ Mag Awards, 2011); ‘Best Artist’ (Deejay Awards); ‘Artist of the Year’, ‘Best National Artist’ and ‘Best Techno DJ’ (Vicious Awards, 2012); ‘Artist of the Year’ (Ritmos XXL, 2012), etc.
2013 saw Paco continue his undisputed residency at ENTER, closing the Monegros Festival, and play at most of the celebrated clubs and festivals.
2014 will prove to be an even bigger year for Paco, so watch this space.
