Biography Turning Wheel Records
Turning Wheel Records was founded in 1999 in Zurich by Rolf Graf and Captain Zero with ZAP Music, with the aim of offering young national artists and new producers an international forum.
At that juncture, it was almost impossible for lesser known DJs without connections to put their work and passion on display to a broader public. Turning Wheel Rec enabled these undiscovered talents in the Swiss music scene to arouse public interest.
Within a short period of time, the first national successes could be documented, and even nationally renowned DJs such as Dream, Noise, Subsonic and DJ Enjoy (Reminder) came forward with their productions.
With the hit ?Time Traveller? by DJ Subsonic, along with remixes of DJ Noise and Wavetraxx, international licenses could be drawn up with countries spanning the USA, South Africa, and Japan.
To date, Turning Wheel Rec can look back on 25 record releases with remixes of the biggest names among the international DJs, like S.H.O.K.K, Steve Murano, Boca aka Stephan Bodzin, Brennan Heart, Patrick Pelzner, Wavetraxx and Hardenbook.
After a two-year creative break, Turning Wheel Records is making a comeback in fall 2008 under the direction of Marco Pfenninger, with new, up-and-coming releases on different download portals.
