soil records was founded in 1998 by Holger Edmaier (cologne, germany). Starting with music for commercials and art projects, soil records soon became also a label for movie scores and sound design. By launching his first solo CD 'Treibsand' ('quicksand') he added pop, electronic music and chanson to the labels wide variety of styles and genres.
