Masculine Music Group (formerly Masculine) is a label of the German rapper Fler. The independent label was founded in 2011. From 2011 to 2013 Groove Attack took over the sales. From 2014 Sony Music is responsible for the sales. The label is responsible for the marketing of music and clothing.
Masculine was initially planned under the name Masculine Digital, also brought Reason Free Mixtape White Men Can not figure it. The music should be published only digitally. These plans, however, were not pursued further and founded the label under the name Butch, which also sells music on physical carriers.
In early 2011 appeared the first publications. These were the singles Never believed in me and every minute. Then Flers sixth solo album Airmax Muzik II appeared. The album reached # 6 in the German charts.
On September 16, 2011 Flers seventh solo album was released on the bus in the back, which could land at # 3 in the German charts and thus Flers up to this point represented the highest chart position in his solo career. On October 28, 2011 appeared to accompany the album on the bus right at the back of the sampler Masculine Mixtape Vol 1. In the same year signed the rapper G-Hot and Silla at Masculine.
On March 9, 2012, the collaboration album Südberlin Masculine II by Fler and Silla, representing the continuation of the eponymous album from 2008, and was able to occupy the space 6 of the German album charts. At the beginning of 2012 were the rappers Nicone and Dizztino taken at Masculine under contract. Later, the second compilation of the label, Masculine appeared Mixtape Vol 2.
On November 2, 2012 published Fler the Südstaaten-Rap/Crunk-Album Behind blue eyes, in which its content is concerned with wealth, luxury goods, women, clothes and cars. In addition, the American rapper French Montana was present as a guest post. From some parts of his audience, the album was handled very controversial because Fler had completely changed for this his music-and content style. The album still ended up at # 3 in the German charts. In early December appeared The Passion of whiskey of Silla, which ranked 15th on the album charts in Germany occupied.
On April 19, 2013 appeared with Blue Blood, another southern rap album by Fler, in which, however, he again increasingly focused on the gangsta rap. Also this was ranked 3 in the German charts. The third sampler Masculine Mixtape Vol 3 was released on 13 September 2013. On January 24, 2014, the fourth sampler Masculine appeared Mixtape Vol 4 as a physical release after the digital version was offered on 6 December 2013.
The end of 2013 ended the collaboration with Groove Attack. On January 29, 2014 it was announced that Sony Music has taken over the distribution. Since then, the name of the label was changed to Masculine Music Group. The first scheduled release, New German Wave 2, to appear on September 5, 2014. Previously, the digital singles Stable German and hipster hatred appeared.
