Lost My Dog represents the Loughborough (UK) based house music label run by Pete Dafeet, Strakes & Najan Ward. Lost My Dog has enjoyed a steady rise to the top since forming in a Loughborough record shop in 2005.

It was a case of ‘right place, right time’ at the beginning: Pete Dafeet’s early productions were catching the eye of Yousef, Blakkat, and the Shaboom crew, while Najan Ward owned the town’s best record shop and employed Ian Straker as a part-time buyer.

9 years and more than70 releases later, the three have eschewed short-lived trends while working with the cream of the deep house crop. AtJazz, Ian Pooley, Burnski, and Huxley have all featured, helping Lost My Dog to win a place in the hearts of many a DJ – from house pioneers like Laurent Garnier, Pete Tong, and Kerri Chandler to the new school of big names in Luciano, DJ T, Mosca, and Maya Jane Coles.

Lost My Dog cofounders:

*** Ian Straker - Ian is responsible for the day to day operation of Lost My Dog, including A&R, scheduling, licensing, press, promotion and marketing – as well presenting the monthly Lost My Dogcast. Aside from Lost My Dog, Ian also runs Kahua Music (a company specialising in promotional and publishing services for record labels and artists) and is Operations Director at Transmit Promo (a new service for promoting music to press, radio, TV, bloggers and fans

*** Pete Dafeet - Pete works across A&R, marketing, and events and is also Lost My Dog’s in-house producer. Since launching Lost My Dog, Pete has performed around the world while also releasing and remixing music on Shaboom, Robsoul, Detour, and Toolroom—music that’s been supported by household names like Pete Tong, Groove Armada, and Laurent Garnier.

*** Najan Ward - Najan draws on his creative industry experience to find and explore new opportunities for Lost My Dog; as an actor he’s featured in TV shows like Life On Mars and Doctors, and he’s recently moved into screenplay and production with his own short film ‘The Pick Up’, co-written with Aml Ameen.

Put succinctly by DJ Mag, “Lost My Dog release vibrant house music with balls of steel.”
