| In 2008, after a pause of more than 12 years, Important Records decided to release electronic music again. Still known from around 50 vinyl releases in the 90s (with releases by DJ Hooligan, Moguai, Acrid Abeyance, with huge hits like Plank "Acid Wars" or the rave hits Liquid Bass "In Full Effect" or Paranoia X "Party Program"), labelmanager and shop-owner Udo Welcker and his new partner Sven Gumbelevicius thought it was time to take a step into the mainstream hardcore scene with their label "Important Hardcore". Already specialising in hard electronic music over the past few years, a label of their own was still missing. Now, 2 years and 6 vinyl releases later, the label has established itself, with tracks and remixes from the likes of Re-Style, Masters of Noise, Nitrogenetics, T-Junction, Crucifier, Distorted Revelation and The Beat Controller (to name a few). Tracks already appeared on big hardcore compilations like "Masters of Hardcore", "Bassleader", "Army Of Hardcore" and many more. |
