My First rememberance on Norway is "Silence". On a School Class Trip to the Ford in the mid 80´s. Like any good german Teacher, ours had the idea to head to "Norwegian Woods" to some Place near a Fjord, where peace was still a doable eutopia. And like any good German Youth we would have liked to rather go to anywhere else - and Metropolitan Area.
For a start Alcohol and Cigarettes where way too expensive there...but as well there was not much else in return but Those Unique, Sympathetic Norwegians, Beautyful Landscapes and most of all - Silence in it´s purest Nothingness.
My Next Rememberance on Norway is my first Prins Thomas and Hans Peter Lindtsroem Records. An the whole thing started to make sense now. Yes , possibly you must expand your horizon and incoporate all this Music to stand up to the Beatuy and Zero Noize Around You. Maybe it sure does need a Label name "Full Pupp" (Big Tits ;0) and full dose of Italo Disco mixed with Chicago Acid, Andreas Vollenweider Harps with African Perscussion, Manuel Goettsching Guitars with High Gloss Space Synths and everything as very rugged as very sweet at the same Time to Have the Sound of Young Norway appear on Planet Earth. And how splendid it did Appear - there´s rarely a more versatile and "musical" Way of programming Music than the one of Thomas and their Full Pupp Records Crew.
Check it out - Every Record is Unique and Sympathetic just like "Those Norwegians" are, but now, they have a "Sound" to it !!
