FFRR Records is a subsidiary of London Records, founded and run by English DJ Pete Tong. FFRR has also two subsidiaries: Double F Double R Records and Ffrreedom Records. The label's ear logo was copied from the original ffrr logo source.

The dance music-focused imprint FFRR (Full Frequency Range Recordings) was launched in 1986 by the UK branch of London Records after that company's efforts to be a diverse, Island Records-like pop label resulted in a failure to sign up-and-coming dance artists who preferred the specialization of competitors like Rhythm King and Island's 4th & Broadway imprint.

London employee and radio DJ Pete Tong and an assistant ran FFRR. Although the company name FFRR Records Ltd. first appeared on releases in 1986, the standard London logos were used until 1987. Such releases, even if they have an old-style "ffrr" badge embedded in the London logos, should only be filed under London Records.

A new logo for the dance imprint first appeared on releases in 1987. It incorporated elements of the classic "ffrr" high fidelity marks that had been part of the Decca and London branding since the 1940s, yet it is a unique logo, with a key difference being that it normally appears by itself and contains the words Full Frequency Range Recordings (not Recording, and not American Recordings or British Recordings).

The name FFRR originally stood for Full Frequency Range Recording, which was an improved high-fidelity recording technique and marketing slogan used by Decca Records on its singles and albums — and especially its Western classical albums — in the 1950s and 1960s. These remain sought after true High Fidelity vinyl recordings. In the 1990s, the label distributed the bulk of the releases of the American hip hop label PayDay Records, through their then parent label, PolyGram. However, these releases remained with Universal Music when London became part of WEA.

FFRR-branded records were released in the US via PolyGram; such releases can be filed under both FFRR and PolyGram.

From 1990 on, the imprint was affiliated with both FFRR Records Ltd. and London Records 90 Ltd.
