| A connaisseur is a person having a great deal of expert knowledge about fine arts, or is an expert judge in matters of fine taste. Following this heritage, Offenbach based Connaisseur Recordings has been offering sophisticated electronic club music between techno and house since 2005.
The past year's compilations have been tremendous successes, with the accompanying tours stopping over at the most renowned venues worldwide, like the Watergate (Berlin), Robert Johnson (Offenbach) , Flexbar (Amsterdam), Studio Martin (Bucharest), Rioma (Mexico City), Distillery (Leipzig), Loft (Lausanne), Rote Sonne (München) and many others.
2009 is looking to be another excellent vintage. The emphasis will lie on the new sublabel Outils du Connaisseur with its focus on house related tools and dubs. On this platform, acts new to Connaisseur will be presented, like SIS as well as solo projects by Liapin from Afrilounge and truly connaisseur collaborations between Schubaq & Chardronnet or Daso & Franklin de Costa. |
