Bulletdodge Records deliver the goods again, this time with a track called Second Wind by London based lad Presuming Ed. The release provides a generous helping of dark and deep techno from the label veteran accompanied by some ace remixes from Jon Rundell, Lexicon Avenue's and Echomen's Chris Scott and Drumcomplex.Second Wind is a fine example of Presuming signature sound. The original track creates an expansive soundscape from a minimal amount of elements. The record builds around a rock solid bass groove provided by an electronic rhythm section that sounds big and present yet maintains a deep edge. The dub-flavoured percussion and effects are driven to a peak that climaxes with an unusual musical flurry that is both subtle and tasteful.Jon Rundells' remix provides a menacing and dark builder that contains all the elements of the Bulletdodge sound. Dubby percussion and fx are conducted towards a satisfying breakdown that is an ideal juxtaposition of the original track.Chris Scott provides a driving, tech house rework that builds upon the key samples and bass themes of the original. He works his magic to deliver a direct shot of deep, thundering energy and assimilates the track to the Bulletdodge signature with sharp production and a generous helping of funk.Lastly to grace us with a remix is Drum Complex. His remix is fuelled by infectious minimal grooves and classic drum machine sounds that continues the theme Presuming Eds original track. Centred round a hypnotic and tastefully distorted riff, the track swings with an attitude that makes dancing the only option for anyone caught in its tractor beam.
