1976: Exiles himself from Zurich to Hamburg for studies at the art academy with Sigmar Polke.
1979: Initial meeting with Robert Fripp and subsequent decision to start producing music aquisation of first synth (Korg MS20). Experiments with Holger Hiller and Conrad Schnitzler.
1980: Founding of Palais Schaumburg with Holger Hiller, various concerts and recordings.
1984: After 3 albums and 6 singles and about 150 concerts Palais Schaumburg disbands. Thomas Fehlmann moves to Berlin.
1985: First solo project ´Ready Made´ released as 12” f.e. on Rhythm King in UK first productions and remixes.
1988: Founds the label ´Teutonic Beats´, taking part in the ´Kunstdisco Project´ by the Goethe Institute in Seoul/Korea during the Olympics.
1989: Initial meeting with Alex Paterson, licensing of Teutonic Beats to the UK. No1 in UK dance charts with marathons ´Moving´.
1990: Start of ongoing partnership with the ORB, initial co-production of ´Outlands´ for the first ORB album. First DJ-gigs.
1991: Ongoing working relationship with Moritz von Oswald as producer and remixer. Projects with various Detroit artists for Tresor label (Juan Atkins, Blake Baxter, Underground Resistance, Eddie ´Flashin´ Fowlkes).
1993: ´FFWD´ collaborative album of Robert Fripp with the ORB
1994: Solo release ´Flow EP´ on R&S. Seminal album ´Orbus Terrarum´ with the ORB |
