Kasper Bjørke is undoubtedly one of the most renowned and versatile Danish contributors to the international electronic music scene.
Since 1999 Kasper has released on respected labels like Eskimo, Compost Black Label, Plant Music, etc. and his latest two applauded albums Standing on top of Utopia (2010) and Fool (2012) was put on the circuit via German hfn music.
His music also released the expansive remix compilation named Remix Crusades (2007 - 2013), showcasing Kaspers broad spectrum as a remixer: from underground acts like Tristesse Contemporaine, Wareika and Gluteus Maximus to international pop names like Moby.
When it comes to DJing, Kasper has played countless gigs all over the planet during the last decade. From legendary clubs such as: Panorama Bar and Watergate in Berlin, Rex and Social Club in Paris, D Edge in Sao Paolo, Fabric in London, Cielo, Le Bain and Output in New York, Electric Pickle in Miami - to renowned international festivals like Iceland Airwaves, Sonar Reykjavik, Calvi on the Rocks, Montreux Jazz Festival and the mother of all European festivals: Roskilde.
Joining forces with bass player / singer Sexy Lazer of Human Woman-fame as The Mansisters, they formed their camp side project back in 2012 with the release of the debut “E.P. Phone Home (EP)” on Canadian My Favorite Robot Records. Also collaborating in clubs as back to back DJ team, The Mansisters now have their release "Bullschnitzel EP" out via Jennifer Cardini’s very own label Correspondant.
As a remixer, Kasper has pretty much covered the whole spectrum: From rising acts like Sonns and Gluteus Maximus - to international pop names like Moby. In March 2013 he released the 28 track compilation Remix Crusades (2007-2013) that includes some of the best remixes he did of others - and the best that others did of his work.
As a DJ, Kasper has countless gigs under his belt across the globe, from legendary clubs as Panorama Bar and Watergate in Berlin, Social Club and Rex Club in Paris, D Edge in Sao Paolo, fabric in London, Le Bain and Cielo in New York, Bob Beaman and Charlie in Munich and Electric Pickle in Miami - and big festivals like Iceland Airwaves, Sonar Reykjavik, Montreux Jazz Festival and Roskilde Festival.
By being on rosters at respected labels such as Eskimo, Correspondant, Hfn Music, Mirau, Compost Black and Plant Music and releasing the hit singles "Young Again" and "Heaven" from his sophomore album "Standing on top of Utopia" (which included remixes by Prins Thomas and Nicolas Jaar, that recieved support by everyone from Seth Troxler to Tim Sweeney), Kasper has positioned himself as one of the most renowned and versatile Danish contributors to the international electronic music scene; both as a Dj and producer.
Constantly in creative motion Kasper is currently recording his 4th solo album which will be released in the fall of 2014. The first single is planned to drop 14th April 2014.
