| Born and raised in Germany’s former communist east (Gera), Dana Ruh has a success story to look up to.
As a DJ, she’s been keeping it locked since 1994. Having a “real” job seemed like the thing to do in those early days, so she gave it a shot, scored the Economics Diploma and went to work as a Stock Trader. That didn’t exactly work out – too little was the excitement about the numbers, to large the gravitation of Berlin and it’s electronic music scene.
Within a couple years from the move, she evolved from house to techno, from beginner to impressive in her productions, and from underground & private parties to playing internationally regularly.
Dana Ruh now runs her own label Brouqade, and successfully releases on both underground anchors like Barraca, Einmaleins, and Perspetiv but also with some of the biggest labels in techno, be it on Cocoon or with Andre Galuzzi on Ostgut Ton, who just brought her to Panoramabar as a resident.
