| Cosmin TRG (formerly just TRG) is one of those producers who never seemed to have any one particular home base or community. Perhaps it’s being from Romania, or maybe it’s just the fact that his sound is as unpredictable as the labels he’s released on. Rush Hour, Bpitch Control, Hessle Audio, Tempa, Hotflush, are just some of the labels Cosmin TRG has worked with. (Fact Magazine, 2010)
His first 12” on Hessle Audio in 2007 garnered praise from BBC Radio 1’s Mary Anne Hobbs among others, soon grabbing the attention of labels, peers and music fans alike.
Cosmin TRG re-invents his music constantly, and currently champions modern electronics supported by the likes of Apparat, Benji B, Gilles Peterson, Martyn, Ben Sims, Marcel Dettmann, Untold, A Made Up Sound, the Arpiar collective, Shed, Roska, Deetron, Rob Da Bank, Laurent Garnier or Modeselektor among others. An alumni of the illustrious Red Bull Music Academy Toronto 2007 and a regular in music magazines such as Mixmag, DJ Mag, iDJ, Groove, Fact Magazine, Resident Advisor or Pitchfork Media, Cosmin TRG has presented his unique take on interesting dancefloor music to clubs and festivals including The End, Fabric, Flex, WMF, Sonar, Monegros or the notorious Paris Techno Parade.
