Just like a photographer who captures certain moments on film, Marcus Crowley and Chris Robin always seem to add that right kind of light to their tracks, make them feel like sweat and smoke and dirt or maybe, just a glimpse of Wednesday afternoon. Back in 2003, when Robin was playin..gigs at the legendary U60311 club in Frankfurt, they met for the first time and very soon discovered, that they had similar tastes and influences. Pushed by the success of first common releases on Frauenfunk (-Records) they decided to confirm this creative collaboration by founding the record label Flicker Rhythm Music. Furthermore time had come to establish one single project instead of jumping between styles and synonyms. With focus on reduced Tech House and Deep House they release under the name of Strich Acht today. Crowley, with his keen sense for the delicate nuances of sounds and dynamics, produces all tracks in his urban studio together with Robin. With "Laundromat" (2007) they shot a big club hit into the record cases of DJs around the world and also the newest productions are always guaranteed for best quality.
