BIOGRAPHY HALO A.K.A. HEATHER LEIGH WEST:

Her voice is legendary, her identity emerging, yet her story is still largely untold. THIS IS A VOICE KNOWN AROUND THE WORLD! Being a spiritual girl, Heather Leigh West?s mission is one that revolves around spreading light & positive energy at every possible turn. With that comes great FAITH that has kept her on her path to sing to you ? BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. Born into a theater family in New York City, the cultural melting pot of the world, HLW was always surrounded by creative talent. A graduate of New York City's prestigious La Guardia High School of Music & the Arts - Vocal Department, HLW spent 3 years in the schools Gospel Chorus where her unique style began to develop. It's been a long road, having to prove who she is at every turn, but finally her time has come. HLW made her music-recording debut as the vocal force behind Urban Discharge's 1995 monumental club anthem, "Drop a House." Spanning three months on the Billboard Club Play Charts and peaking at #21, "Drop a House" claimed its spot in dance music history. As they say, and HLW soon learned first hand, "History repeats itself." It wasn't long before the vocals were edited to remove what was then considered radio unfriendly language, renamed "Feel It," and re-released (shockingly crediting another artist for HLW's voice). The newer version, which was paired with tracks from The Jackson 5 hit "Can You Feel It," soared to the top of the Billboard charts becoming an International #1 hit and reaming on the chart for six months. Again garnering ANTHEM STATUS, the songs success meant the entire world knew her voice - yet still everyone was left asking "who is She?" HLW decided to re-record Drop A House and historically claim the vocal once and for all. DJ Liza of Liza Label did the 1st new mix which went up on Perfect Beat in 2007 and began the stir - DJ DeMarko! pitched the idea to TommyBoy Entertainment who picked up the project. The label then brought in legendary remixers Razor N Guido, Nick Harvey, Quentin Harris, Wayne G, & Jamie Garcia each bringing their own remix style to the iconic anthem, released May 2009! The song will undoubtedly make noise once again as it always does. Proof positive by the Razor N Guido mix featured on the Generation Next & Atlantis CD compilations already being played by some of the worlds greatest DJ's including Junior Vasquez & Abel. ***** Drop A House reached #12 on the charts in Billboard Magazine this time around! AND is one of the top downloaded tracks in Perfect Beat's 10 year history!!!!! ***** Teaming up with German producer Da Hool for "Set the Stakes High" (Warner-Chappell) on Kosmo Records in 2004, HLW penned & scored one of the biggest European dance hits of the year. Being included on Ministry of Sound among other compilations with remixes by Tomcraft & Gary Bruckheimer. Making its way across the ocean, "Stakes" found its American home on the domestic record label Robbins Entertainment. Now her sultry vocals are spinning on dance stations, Internet radio and at clubs everywhere. HLW & Da Hool just reunited to record 3 new tracks in Germany which will be released over the course of 2010/2011... the 1st is called "Don't Hold Back" due for release on Europe's We Play Records - August 2010! Next up teams HLW with Nick Harvey for her first official track as Halo, "Pure Love" which she premiered at Gay Pride NYC 2010 on the S.W.I.S.H. Float (Straight Women In Support of Homos - the Gay/Straight Alliance) to a screaming & delightfully packed Christopher Street! Its slated to be released on Nick Harvey Music on July 29, 2010. The remix package which will include DJ Elliot DeHoyos & Billy Waters, among others is due out in Sept 2010. Very excited to report, she is currently in the studio lying down her latest track "I Get What I Want" a finger-lickin' pop confection collaboration with platinum, award winning producer Aaron "Freedom" Lyles of "Keep on Walkin'" and "100% Pure Love" fame, among countless other amazing works that we all know & love. "I Get What I Want" will be released as soon as it is completed to its perfection... Stay tuned! Finally, HLW is beginning work on her next full album project "DAY", which includes her dream band consisting of some of her favorite musicians, which will then be touring to promote the album as well as throw down some of your favorite HLW dance tracks... needless to say this is extremely exciting for HLW aka HALO! Expect to be hearing from the band towards the holiday season! Just FYI: HLW's 1st full length album, "ONE. (Valentino's Heather)" an alternative/soul project with producer Valentino LaRosa, that has a mellow vibe throughout but also speaks many things if you get up into it. It was silently put up on Itunes, and the other music sites but never given an official release, however, her tried & true fans found their way to it anyway. Always inspired by different people & new experiences, HLW loves to collaborate with other talented musicians and producers. As the list grows, HLW is delighted to be working with the caliber of talent that seems to keep finding their way to her! With the rough road now behind her, and nothing ahead but a limitless career and an endless list of world famous producers to back her up, and her new album projects, HALO is truly on top of the world, able to look back and know the past is all just a drop in the ocean.


BIOGRAPHY NICK HARVEY:

Nick Harvey, a DJ/producer/audio engineer from Zurich, Switzerland who recently created his own music label, Nick Harvey Music, is on the verge of breaking out of the pack of his peers. This was not something that happened overnight however but an evolution with an eye towards the future. Harvey began his career as a DJ in 1995, playing some of the largest gay parties in his Country, including the Black Party in Zurich and True Colors in Berne. As someone that pushes himself, Harvey has began traveling across Europe, including regular bookings at Delicious in Vienna and NY Club in Munich.


Harvey came of age listening to and enjoying techno and hardcore but feels most comfortable surrounding himself in the sounds of New York?s tribal rhythms. With a degree in audio engineering he set out to make the music that he loved so much ? Stomping tribal drums, massive build-ups, beautiful diva anthems and beats meant for the runways of packed dance floors.

Indeed, Harvey has spent several years fine tuning his craft and sound and credits several producers and DJ?s as inspirations including, Peter Rauhofer (U.S.) and DJ Escape (U.S.). But it was one New York legend that Harvey really connected to and eventually, began a mentoring relationship with: DJ/producer Junior Vasquez. After continuing this association for a three year period, the two officially began working together on several projects in 2008. With Harvey on board as Vasquez?s audio engineer, the pair crafted remixes for top acts such as Britney Spears (?Womanizer?, ?Circus? and ?If You Seek Amy?) and, Pink (?Please Don?t Leave Me? and ?Sober?).

Harvey has also impacted in the U.S. with remix productions of his own for several artists, including ?Never,? a number one hit for internationally known dance diva Kristine W., and ?Drop a House ?09? by DJ DeMarko ft. Heather Leigh West which was released on Tommyboy Silver Label in the U.S. Add to that the list of exclusive mixes crafted for Junior Vazquez?s dance floor ? including Harvey?s update of Diana Ross? ?Take Me Higher? which still has crowds erupting in cheers a year after Vasquez debuted it ? and you have an extensive catalogue of work.

Nick Harvey Music was the next logical step in Harvey?s career. It is Harvey?s way to build upon his early successes and experiences in the music industry; his way of taking matters into his own hands. Nick Harvey Music will release songs that may have never gotten heard due to the climate in the music industry today and hire remixers from across the globe to create its rhythmic soundscape. The first major signing and release was ?Struck by Luv? by Lectroluv ft. Alvaughn Jackson.
