| 1993 - At the age of 15, grabbed Marc Nuit, born in Berlin, the fascination for electronic dance music. '99 he made his first steps behind the turntables, six months later was followed by his first gig in the Kulturbrauerei/Kesselhaus. Other events followed, and it went out in the club scene. In addition to the Fate Club, where resident from 2006-'09 he was, he also played in Berlin clubs like: KitKat Club, Mädcheninternat, Hustlaball, Arena Club, CSD-Truck ... Since April'09 he has played 4 times at the Libra-Club / Stockholm. Since March 2009 he is resident dj at the Kitkat Club for the Sunday party-event Deja-Vu.
His favourite style is a blend of Prog-House, House, Tech-Trance. This is also reflected in his own productions. As a producer and as a DJ, he would always have the freedom not to be set on a style. Whatever you produce or play , Minimal, House or Trance, the most important thing is the mixture of sounds, said Marc Nuit, producer since 2004.
In collaboration with producer/DJ Christian Soto, Lillytronic and their graphics department, headed by Bob Miller, the label "Klang-Dimension-Records? starts in nov 2008. With the track "Concorde?from Christian Soto and the track "Sunny" from Marc Nuit, Klang-Dimension celebrated their first releases. Since that time some very good producers of electronic dance music including Francis Corben (Italy), Lilith (Los Angeles), Stromtherapie, Rick Siron, Dopevision and the label owners himself, Chris, Marc and Lillytronic had published and released a lot of their tracks and remixes on Klang-Dimension, some of them quite successful. They all have made a very good job!!
Since 03/08 Marc Nuit had a artist contract with Mode2-Recordings. For his first release, Marc starts with the remix to "The world according to a slut" of Schlock. In 11/08 followed his first EP "B on My Side".
For the track "Lover" from Eastman, the label owner of Mode2-Recordings, Marc also finished another remix.
With time the interest of Marc was larger to play and produce much "harder" club music. The dj sets continuously expanded more and more to techno/Tech-house. So it was soon necessary to think how he can make his way for playing a different sound, but without leave his project Marc Nuit.
In the last few years the name Marc Nuit has much established in the fields of prog.-House/ House/prog.-Trance. To being fully his develop stylistic realignment, the idea came to develops another artist, now was Marcus Nacht born. This name should be stay for future for an very clear idea of really groovy, technoid-housy sounds and beats:" The Marcus Nacht Sound".
If you are forced to put him into a genre-drawer, Tech-House would probably best describe the sound of Mr. Marcus Nacht what he sends in his DJ sets on the dance floor. It is very important for him when he plays a dj-set or if he works on his own productions he wants to show many facets of good electronic dance music and not to be restricted by genre boundaries. |
