KTK was formed in the period of the great British Ska-Revival 1981. KTKs musical heroes are the 2tone-Bands and many of the big Jamaican Ska and Rock Steady performers of the 50s and 60s.
But not only the "steady beat" is on KTK´s program - they often use laidback titles to cool down and relax...
The band has published several productions during the last 28 years and now works on the jubilee album which will be released in 2011.
The first song, "Cruisin" has been published now, the next "Hey, Mr taxman" is to follow in spring 2009.

KTK wurde zur Zeit des grossen englischen Ska-Revivals 1981 gegründet und orientiert sich stark an 2Tone-Bands, aber man ist besonders auch dem traditionellen Jamaica-Ska der 50er und 60er Jahre verbunden. Dazu kommen (zum Abkühlen) immer wieder laid back - Reggaenummern und inzwischen der ein oder andere Soultitel. Insgesamt geht es bei KTK aber richtig rund - auf und vor der Bühne ist Party und vor allen Dingen Spaß angesagt - für..s richtige musikalische Fundament sorgen die 12 Musiker, in deren Reihen auch waschechte Jazz-Profis mit- "skanken".
