| Cooky - a real analog and computer nerd, performing as live act/dj and Ajele - a house and techno dj for more than 12 years - are the two heads behind the project "Kreis Zwei, who have known each other since back in the teenage days in Switzerland.
In summer 2008 they've met for a cool beer at the lake of Zurich, in an urban location called ?Rote Fabrik". Soon it became clear that Cooky is a good mentor with loads of experience in producing electronic music. Ever since they've regularly met for chats, exchanging ideas and making music together for fun. The project "Kreis Zwei" was born.
The duo has developed a unique music style, which is rooted in their different backgrounds and influenced by all kinds of music, such as techno, house, chillout, soul, afro-beat and even hip hop.
The name "Kreis Zwei" derives from the area in Zurich Wollishofen - also referred to as Wollyhood ;-) - where they both life. With the view to the mountains, next to the lake of Zurich and the venue "Rote Fabrik" - that's where this musical adventure is inspired by.
?We mainly play electronic music and in the studio we use a lot of analog gear. We both love the warm sounds of the 80s synths, such as the Crumar Bit One or the Oberheim Matrix6. Kreis Zwei is a "pure analog sounding" project ? analog sounds as our fundamental basement. Each recording is unique, and we take a lot of time for the sound design. We want to produce beautiful and challenging music." |
