| Harvey Cubillos is a DJ producer from Bogotá Colombia. He began his career in 1995 playing in different events and venues in Colombia. In 1999 Harvey worked on his first production creating different tracks of progressive house and future trance. That same year, he released his first album called "Enter" co-produced by DJ Max. In 2001 Harvey began an exploration of instruments and rhythms of the native Caribbean coasts of Colombia. He began experimenting with rythms like Cumbia and mixed them with his latin house influence. This lead to the 2004 release of his second album called "CUBILLEO / Drums Gaita & Beat" In this album you can find native sounds of the Colombian Caribbean coast blended with dance music, percussions, cumbia, folk rhythms and electronic music. From this album you can extract popular songs like "Gaita Song" and "La Cumbia Rapiá". "Dr. Harvey..s" third album, CUBILLEO / Vuelve y Engancha was the evolution of CUBILLEO sound, but focused on NEOTROPICAL tendencies and new colombian rhythms. It was more of a conceptual work. This production is special because it features reknown artists like PETRONA MARTINEZ and LIZANDRO MESA, two of the most important singers of colombian native music. This album includes the singles "Sabrosona" and "Asokere" - this tracks was remixed by DJ Yarus (Russia) and Hot Hands (Swi). Harvey..s live performances are always filled with percussions, bass and Latin House rhythms. In 2008 Harvey makes the remix of Hot Hands and Elisete ?Voce e Minha Fantasia? and releases "Ataole" - This single features a special performance of deceased singer Batata, a legend of native colombian music. Stay tuned for the new song by Harvey feat. Elisete: "Jolie, Jolie" |
