Well controlled aging items are getting better and better ? This is not only valid for good wines but for good electronic music as well. ?On a salty planet?, the new Houztekk release 007 proves this theory.
Back in 2006 the idea for this track was born and recently Hans Staudinger took it out of the virtual stockroom again and brought to aging after a ?hygenic filling? and a perfect storage over a couple of years.
And again, after a certain time of aging, an agreement on a release date was agreed with Houztekk-Records.
?On a salty Planet? convinces in three dimensions: in colour, in time and in unison. The dimension ?colour? is shown via the sound; the dimension ?time? is demonstrated by the rhythm and the unison is felt through the harmony which makes the track perfect and complete. As well not at least because the harmony plays a big role in the life of the artist Hans Staudinger, is it when he is DJ-ing or is it when he rocks the dancefloor. In DJ-ing and dancing, Hans finds his inspiration for his music-productions. ?The music was already there - I just picked it up and assembled it to a track? knows the exceptional artist Staudinger.
The acquisition of Ken Hayakawa for one of the remixes of ?on a salty planet? was good as gold. His remix skyjacks you to the middle of the eighties retro-galaxy, right into the orbit of the Salty Planet on which the crowd celebrates ?till evaporation.
The third track of the release is a remix by Ogris Debris. The two Viennese musicians already maintained a sample of ?on a salty planet? more than year ago in one of their performances. With their current remix they created an interpretation in Hipster-style which applies a lot of value to the harmony of the release.
Quality is not an argumentation but it is the standard for every well respected company - and this is the same for the Label Houztekk-records. Therefore it is most important that apart from the auditive performance the visual appearance of the release plays an important role. For Houztekk 007 (which is a vinyl-release as well!) the austrian artist Julie Monaco created an extraordinary cover-art.
About her art in general and the way of creating pictures Julie Monaco states: ?The picture is developed during the performance. I follow a certain feeling and I try to arrange things to match this picture closely?.
As a result of the harmony between the musicians and the scenic art of Julie Monaco for this release, the auditive and the visual worlds are united within ?On a salty planet?.
Enjoy the new Houztekk-Records 007.
