DADDY ROACH -
Jamaican MC Wayne Roach acquired his stage name Daddy Roach at an early age, at primary school.
Raggamuffin, a popular genre in Jamaica, is Wayne`s musical roots.
He`s also experienced in reggae, hip hop and two step. In 1993 he had his first stage appearence.
This was followed by live performances with various popular artists, e.g. Gentleman, Die Fantastischen Vier and Trevor Taylor (Bad Boys Blue). Daddy Roach had his first studio gig with Gadget Pfennig, and then came successful performances with X-Large Singleton, Bobby Stern, Das Duale System, Äi-Tiem and EM-ZEE.
In 1997 he recorded the single `Cecilia` with The Project, and then in 1998 `Lacrimosa` with Gimme 5. In 1999 came the single and video for `Chemical Reaction` with Sasha.
In 2000 he met an old friend, producer Earonic. The two began creating and producing various tracks. The blending of reggae and dancehall coupled with producer Earonic`s electronic background, resulted in some truly exciting and pulsating music. `Sky Di Limit`, the first release on the new label momental, is a taste of their musical vibes.
