Binary began his career in 2005 with a residency at Marvel Bar in Long Street Cape Town where he played underground and instrumental hip-hop. Soon he was moved to the prime time Thursday night timeslot. After a short break from the scene he was introduced to Dubstep and from there began taking his music career more seriously, and began playing more gigs at some of the biggest outdoor festivals in Cape Town. In January 2008 Binary was part of a local crew that began ?Step Up? currently the only ongoing Dubstep party in South Africa. From this point Binary has continued his DJ career and began integrating his own productions into the mix. Binary kicks his production career off with his debut international through On a Break Records due out at the end of 2009. |
