Alex Grekov (a.k.a. SPASMIK, Wasted Orchestra, Alex G and Menotme) involvement with electronic music started in the late 80's, while still being in high school, he was a professional breakdancer. After moving to New York City he started to record his first tracks and beginning in 1994 they started to come out on vinyl only releases via local NYC labels. In 1998 came out his first major label release - album "SPASMIK: PHUNKOTRON" on Priority/EMI records. And in 1999 Alex Grekov (a.k.a. SPASMIK) became 'Buzzworthy' artist on MTV. Since that, his music appeared during MTV's programming segments. During following years Alex participated in various musical collaborations and recorded some interesting remixes. Currently Alex Grekov (a.k.a. SPASMIK) recording new material and DJing around the world. |
