PMR003 sees West London producer Two Inch Punch serving up five slices of genre-flipping electronic soul. Lead single Up in Your Mix lives up to its eponymous chorus, with some serious production muscle getting flexed. The result is a melange of chords, stabs, voice effects, crescendos and breakdowns that wears its heart right on its sleeve. Love You Up does exactly what it says on the tin – summery synths, filtered vocals and a booming undertow blended to delicate and devastating effect. Her Heart Moves, Forgive Me for Messing Up and Winterlude return us to the kind of flipped-on-its-head balladry that is the TIP template. Not necessarily one that you’ll have heard before.
