Tomi Chair is one of Tokyo's emerging techno stars. Green Water is his second release on Dublin Xpress, a follow up to Empire of the Sun in 2011.Influenced by the melodic techno of Detroit, the progressive house of the UK and the deep almost stoicism of the European minimal sound, Tomi's quest is to create a soundscape that fuses the DJ friendly, dance floor friendly funk of Progressive and tech-House with the cerebral emotion of Ambient and Detroit techno.Green Water comes replete with remixes from Carlos Nilmmns, John Shima, Nachklangmusik, Samuel James, and Vikte. Choose from Deep House, Funky techno, High Tech Soul as the remixes offer something for everyone that enjoys deep, emotive techno.Tomi Chair's début release was in 2008 and over the past 3 years he has developed a rich sound. Along the way he has released music on Bellerine, If?, Next Dimension, Embarcadero and Nice & Nasty; however, since mid 2011 he is solid and focused on his work with and for Dublin Xpress. As a remixer he is much sought after remixing the likes of Japan's Itokim, Tr-One, Chymera, ADSR and Detroit's Terrence Dixon.
