For over a decade, DJ S1 has been impressing partygoers and music lovers with his signature mash up mixes of Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae & Rock and now has his sights on taking the House music scene by storm. As an apprentice for DJ & Radio Personality, Felix Sama, he studied the art of DJ’ing at Sama’s Rhythm City Music School. Upon graduation, DJ S1, then known as DJ Slik, was invited to perform on the 6 a.m. Traffic Jam on WPOW Power 96 FM, which then led to several more guest appearances. It wouldn’t take long for DJ S1 to get back on the radio and in 2004, The Flava in Ya Ear Show was born, which aired on 95.3 FM, 88.1 FM, & 96.9 FM. As the popularity of his radio show began to grow, DJ S1 was invited to appear as a monthly guest DJ on the former hit TV show, The Roof, which aired on NBC Universal’s, MUN2 television channel. With plenty of radio and television appearances under his belt and as a member of various organizations, such as the Fleet DJs, All Out All-Stars and the Hood DJs, he released numerous projects that featured celebrity guest appearances by Alicia Keys, Sean Kingston, Three 6 Mafia, Lil Jon, Pitbull, and Clinton Sparks to name a few. Shortly after the launch of his radio show, monthly television appearances, and star-studded releases, DJ S1 was hired by Estee Lauder Companies to perform at their various launch parties for Sean John’s Unforgivable fragrance throughout Latin America. While he’s managed to achieve such accomplishments at a very young age, DJ S1 felt that it was time to shift gears and embrace his passion for House music. Inspired by the likes of legendary DJs, Roger Sanchez, Junior Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox, and Erick Morillo, DJ S1 dedicated most of his time to perfecting the art of blending and remixing house tracks & vocals and establishing what would become his signature Get House’D brand. In 2007, in efforts to take Get House’D to the next level, DJ S1 signed on to host his own monthly cellular radio mix show on the Focus on the DJ channel. It’s currently syndicated on the cellular radio networks for AT&T, Sprint, All-Tell Wireless, US Cellular, & Verizon Wireless and you can also tune in online at focusonthedj.
